Discussing economic forecasts
The aim of the workshop is to aid business executives understand our analysis of current and likely future trends and developments in the global and Sri Lankan economies, and our reports on these (see below for more on reports), by providing a detailed elaboration of our views in respect of these. Particular attention is paid to the current developments in, and forecasts of, the key macroeconomic variables pertaining to the global and Sri Lankan economies that are considered to be important for business (and investment) decision-making.

About the trainer

Dr Howard Nicholas has over 40 years of teaching experience in universities and business schools in a number of countries including China, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. From 1981-2020 he was based at the Institute of Social Studies (part of Erasmus University of Rotterdam), where he was awarded best-teacher award every year since the award was first given―from 2000 to 2020.
He is regularly invited to give lectures on the global economy and is known by those who have attended his lectures for his early warnings on the Asian crisis in 1997, the global crises of 2001 and 2008, the little known crisis of the Chinese economy in 2015, and the global crisis of 2020.
This workshop offers insights into the analyses and forecasts from our monthly report on the global economy.
